TYRONE LOFT

This ground level loft on Peters Street, in the vibrant arts district of Castleberry Hill, was originally a wholesale grocery. To gain more storage space and an office, we introduced a mezzanine volume in the rear of the loft. The mezzanine has built in storage above, steel and glass bookcases and walk in closets below. The floor system of the mezzanine is a 4.5" thin system of steel beams and 4x6 timbers which allows for a standing head height in the upper level. The patio trellis and bookshelf runners were fabricated and installed by a local artist, Robert Witherspoon.
